Hello again 5th graders, we have new activities for you! 

The EARTH DAY is coming, on the 22nd of April we are going to celebrate the day of our planet, our home. You decided to work on the topic of pollution and climate change and we think it is the best way to start it because remember, THERE IS NO PLANET B. 

So that we have here some printables for you to work from home this topic. We are going to propose you some activities you can do these days at home to help the Earth to be safer. 

The first activity we are proposing you is a game in order to get in touch with the new vocabulary of this topic. Here you have a Bingo printable for you to play at home. You can color it and do your own bingo cards. You can click HERE to download the document.

NOW WE ARE GOING TO PLAY A LITTLE! 

We have found a board game that you can print to play with your family that talks about positive environmental actions to take at home and in your daily lives. You can download it HERE. 

A NEW VERSION FOR THE VIRUS GAME

We know you have all played the Virus game at some point of your lives! Even in the school! We have found a new version of it. But this time it is about recycling habits. 

This activity is taken from a blog called Creaduca. 

The objective of this game is to get the 4 different recycling containers. 

REMEMBER:
BLUE for PAPER, YELLOW for PLASTIC, GREEN for GLASS and BROWN for WASTE.

These cards are the medicines. Containers will be safe if they contain the correct articles. For example, a newspaper it is right if it is in he blue container. A can must be in the yellow one,...
So, each thing must be where it belongs, if not, the container is in danger!









DANGER COMING! A virus can appear. When something is inside a container that it is not the appropriate one, the container is in danger. The material inside will not be recycled!  You can safe it again by using a correct card on top. 






Special cards: 
The first card has the power to kill any container at once.  

The second card has the power to save any container. 

The third card allows the player who throws it to change his/her cards for the cards of anybody else. 

The last card makes the rest of the players to leave their cards on the middle and loose their turn. 




The cards with a lightning can be used as "multicolor" cards, they can cover any container.

Hello!

It's Thursday and we are ready to continue with our Easter activities, this time we mix riddles with Easter. Below you have some riddles and answers, you need to try to match up each riddle to the answer.

Riddles:

• What do eggs listen to on the radio?
• Why did the Easter Bunny cross the road?
• What's the Easter Bunny's favourite sport?
• Why did the Easter Bunny get a ticket?
• Why did the Easter eggs race to the Easter Basket?
• Where do eggs go on vacation?
• Why can't eggs be comedians?
• Why do eggs go to the beach?

Answers:

Welcome back!

It's time to be creative! Can you create an Easter egg? You can use a balloon, an egg, a sheet of paper, a newspaper, a ball... Choose the material that you prefer, give it an egg shape and decorate it! Your family can help you.

Then write a description of your egg using the Padlet below. Explain to us how you did it, which material you used, how you decorated it, if you needed any help and where are you going to put it.

You can write a post below or send us a video. We want to see your artworks!
